My consultancy services encompass:
● Holistic Support for Survivors: Tailored interventions that address the complex
needs of individuals affected by domestic abuse, with a focus on those from migrant
backgrounds.
● Professional Training and Development: Design and delivery of bespoke training
programs for professionals to enhance their competence in identifying and
responding to domestic abuse.
● Policy and Practice Consultation: Advisory services to inform the development of
policies and practices that are inclusive, equitable, and effective in addressing
domestic abuse. Driven by a commitment to social justice and equity, I strive to create environments where Survivors are heard, supported, and empowered to rebuild their lives. Examples of the services provided are:
A) Providing holistic, practical, emotional, or moral support to the victims of Domestic Abuse.
This includes
● Support to obtain Domestic Abuse Protection orders,
● Safety Plans tailored according to the individual needs
● Support to engage with police and courts
● Support in housing matters and emergency accommodation
B) Advocacy and training
● Advocating for victims' voices and their stories to be heard
● Being there for them beyond 9 to 5 working hours, understanding that abuse does not
have time boundaries
● Training other professionals such as staff nurses, GPs, and other public and private
sector’s staff on recognising signs of abuse, preventing and tackling domestic abuse.
C) Migrant support
● I am the voice of migrant victims of domestic violence
● Support and advice on help available for migrant victims of domestic violence. Liaise with other agencies that can offer support and referrals to MARAC
IDVA (Independent Domestic Abuse Advocate)
As a dedicated Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA), I offer specialized consultancy services aimed at empowering survivors of domestic abuse and enhancing systemic responses across social care and public sectors.
My expertise lies in delivering trauma-informed, culturally sensitive support to adults, young people, and particularly migrant individuals who face unique challenges due to language barriers, immigration status, and limited access to resources.
I provide comprehensive training to professionals, including nurses, to deepen their Understanding of domestic abuse dynamics and improving their capacity to respond effectively to disclosures. My approach fosters collaborative partnerships with local authorities, social care providers, and community organizations to develop and implement strategies that
